Oct. 25 — my annual mammogram
Oct. 30 — During my annual exam, Dr. Kim Heller, my primary care doctor, asked me if I’d received a notice from Stric that I’d had an abnormal mammogram
Nov. 8 — I had a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound. The radiologist told me I had an “architectural distortion” in my left breast and he recommended a biopsy to determine what it was. An appointment was scheduled for Nov. 22
November 21 — Stric called to say the machine was broken and my appointment was rescheduled.
December 6 — I had the biopsy.
December 10 — The biopsy report: Invasive carcinoma of no special type, grade 2. Malignant and concordant. After speaking with Dr. Heller, I learned it is triple negative.
December 16 — Appointment with surgeon.
Side note, “architectural distortion”, what a great name for a band!
ReplyDeleteMy holidays were ruined by the same timeline last year. But I’m on the NICE LIST!
Well, I’m still pissed at Roberta.
